سامسونج تستعرض أفضل نظام للحماية KNOX ومزايا “جالسكي S6 edge” للأفراد وقطاع الأعمال
نظمت شركة سامسونج الرائدة عالمياً في مجال التقنية والالكترونيات، بالتعاون مع شركة شأس للتقنية موزع أجهزة سامسونج في المملكة، وشركة سوتي SOTI للبرامج، مؤخراً ورشة عمل هامة في فندق الفيصلية بالرياض لقطاع الأعمال والشركات. وذلك بمشاركة نخبة من الخبراء في مجال التقنية والبرمجة،لاستعراض المزايا الفريدة والتقنيات المتطورة التي يوفرها جهاز “جالكسي S6 edge” للأفراد وقطاع الأعمال.
وقال السيد كي وون بارك المدير العام لشركة سامسونج للإلكترونيات بالسعودية، “إن تنظيم هذه الورشة يأتي في إطار التواصل والتفاعل الدائم لشركة سامسونج مع الشركات وقطاع الأعمال في المملكة لتعزيز التعاون والشراكة الاستراتيجية الناجحة بين الجانبين، ولإطلاعهم على أحدث أجهزة سامسونج الجديدة والمبتكرة، لاسيما أجهزة سامسونج جالكسي التي تشهد إقبالاً كبيراً وطلباً متزايداً في السوق السعودي. موضحاً بأن الورشة ركزت على جهود سامسونج في توفير أفضل حلول الحماية للشركات، عبر برنامج KNOX الذي قامت بتطويرة سامسونج لتوفير أعلى مستوى للأمان في العالم”.
وتناولت الورشة بشرح مفصل التصميم الرائع والأداء المتميّز لجهاز “جالكسي S6 edge” الذي صمم من مادة الألمونيوم المستخدم في صناعة الطائرات واليخوت الفخمة، فهو أصلب بحوالي مرة ونصف من الألمونيوم المستخدم في صناعة الهواتف الذكية بالسوق، مما يجعله يبدو بحلة أنيقة وصلبة وخفيفة في آن واحد، بالإضافة الى استعراض مزايا “Galaxy Tab Active” لرجال الأعمال، الذي يمتاز بشاشة 8 بوصة TFT ، ومقاومته للماء والاتربة، وبذاكرة داخلية وخارجية كبيرة، وبطارية قوية وقابلة للاستبدال.
وأكدت الورشة نجاح سامسونج في تطوير أفضل وأقوى نظام حماية على الإطلاق من خلال سامسونج KNOX الذي يوفير حماية عالية جداً للأجهزة الذكية الاندرويد(Android) ، لاسيما لقطاع الأعمال؛ حيث يقوم البرنامج بحماية جميع ما يوجد في الجهاز من ملفات وتطبيقات وأسرار، ويحتوي على تشفير قوي لجميع البيانات، ويقدم عدة مزايا هامة للمستخدم تتضمن اختيار التطبيقات والبرامج التي تبدأ عند فتح واغلاق الجهاز، وعزل التطبيقات عن أي تأثير للفيروسات، وإحاطة الجهاز بعازل أمني قوي يحول دون وصول أي ملف خارجي إلى الجهاز.
كما استعرضت الورشة مزايا شاشة “جالكسي S6 edge” التي صممت بإنحناء جميل كأول جهاز بشاشة عرض منحنية الطرفين في العالم. وبحجم 5.1 بوصة، ومدعومة بزجاج “Gorilla Glass 4” المقاوم للصدمات والخدوش، بدقة عرض Quad HDتعطي صور في منتهى الروعة، فضلاً عن تميّز الجهاز بكاميرا أمامية وخلفية بفتحة عدسة بقياس F1.9، وبدقة وضوح عالية جداً، وبضغط الزر الرئيسي مرتين تنتقل مباشرة وبسرعة فائقة إلى وضعية الكاميرا حتى لا تفوّتك أي لحظة مهمة بعد الآن، والاستمتاع بالتصوير وتسجيل أجمل اللحظات في وقتها. وكذلك يتمتع الجهاز بخاصية توفير الطاقة وسرعة الشحن، فعند شحن الجهاز لمدة 10 دقائق فقط يمكنك الاستخدام لـمدة 4 ساعات تقربيًا.
وفي ختام الورشة جرى سحب على أجهزة “جالكسي S6 edge” تم توزيعها على الفائزين من الحضور الذين أعربوا عن شكرهم وتقديرهم لشركة سامسونج وجهودها في تقديم منتجات تقنية حديثة ومبتكرة تسهل حياة الناس وتمنحهم فرصة للاستمتاع بمنتجات سامسونج الذكية.
Samsung HHPs (hand-held products) team has recently successfully concluded a workshop on Samsung devices and the accompanying Samsung KNOX mobile security solution that enable business and personal content to coexist on the same handset. The KNOX service is part of “Samsung Approved For Enterprise” (SAFE) offerings for smartphones and tablets. It is basically intended for B2B usage and co-works with SOTI, the world’s most trusted provider of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions
The workshop dubbed “Enterprise Mobility Management with Samsung S6 edge” held at Al Faisaliah Hotel Riyadh recently was aimed at delivering to Samsung’s B2B customers the advantages and benefits of the new Samsung mobile devices, especially its new flagship S6 edge, and the underlying security solution, KNOX, for B2B purpose or Enterprise deal
With the prevalent trend of using personal mobile devices for work-related purposes increase, Samsung KNOX solves the challenge of managing both the personal and corporate data on the owner’s mobile device while ensuring corporate data security and not compromising the user experience. KNOX technology enables user/owner to access corporate data while protecting both the corporation and the person/employee through an approach that segments personal from corporate information at the operating system (OS) level. It also helps to protect the employee’s privacy by fully supporting the containerization of corporate data without adversely affecting the user experience for the employee’s personal device
During the workshop, technical experts from ShasTech, Samsung Electronics authorized maintenance provider in Saudi Arabia for its mobile phone and tablet products, joined hands with Samsung engineers in providing technical information and support about the new devices and assistance in further exploring the details of both the device and the solution for better results
Samsung Electronics Saudi Arabia, took the opportunity to present and discuss the salient features of the Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy TAB Active (Ruggedized tablet), and KNOX. The Galaxy S6 edge has a new aluminum design, reflective surface, Theme options preference, 1.5 times stronger than other devices, and is the only device with an extended edge screen
Camera: Fast and quick launch through a double click on the main home key, high dynamic range HDR for both cameras (front and rear), super resolution
- Super-fast charging: It takes only 80 min for the battery to charge from 0 to 100 %. A charging pad will soon be also introduced at hotels (guests will only have to place the device on the pad for it to recharge)
- Processor: Exynos 7420 processor, 14 nm (first processor with this capacity to be used on a mobile devise… usually this is used in computers). Likewise, the processor demands less from the battery
- Security: Smart manager, KNOX, home key is a finger print scanner

- Water and dust proof/ can remain for 30 minutes under at 1 m depth, though it is not made for diving, but perfect if in case water or coffee was spilled by accident

Moreover, at the workshop, it was also revealed that for better enterprise solution, Samsung is co-working with SOTI, a Canada-based company and an international provider, as a MDM (mobile device management) provider
SOTI representative presented their solutions in terms of device management. And participants at the workshop were given a thorough understanding about the versatile KNOX solution
Named after Fort Knox, a fortified vault building located within the United States Army post of Fort Knox, Kentucky, used to store a large portion of United States official gold reserves and occasionally other precious items belonging or entrusted to the federal government, KNOX software that creates a container inside the device for security and protection from any malware of breach. It creates another private mobile within your device, complete with its home screen, apps, and widgets
In the Samsung KNOX container, one can use preloaded Samsung KNOX applications as well as applications from Samsung KNOX APPS. However, for security reasons, there may be restrictions on moving data into and out of the Samsung KNOX container and some applications may have their features restricted
In addition, the participants at the workshop were told that SOTI Mobicontrol MDM solutions allow organizations to empower enterprise mobility through support for corporate-liable and bring your own device (BYOD) policies. SOTI MobiControl solves the unique challenges involved in managing, securing, supporting, and tracking mobile and desktop computing devices across all platforms
Mobicontrol allows the company to manage the device from afar (it can upload, download, it can lock or unlock the device, it can also limit what Apps employees can use.
