To be held in Riyadh under the theme  ‘Let The World Hear You’

XPERFORM, the dynamic talent competition created by MDLBEAST’s XP to discover the next generation of vocal talent from across the MENA region, will premiere its third season with an exclusive event at VOX Cinema on October 28, 2024. The series, which offers emerging artists the chance to showcase their talents and grow their careers through booking opportunities and partnerships with MDLBEAST Records, is returning with a fresh line-up of talented contestants and thrilling challenges.

The premiere will feature the first four episodes, spotlighting the auditions held in Riyadh in July 2024. Following the premiere, Episode 1 will be available for streaming on XP Music Futures’ YouTube channel (@xpmusicfutures.mdlbeast) starting October 29, 2024.

Speaking ahead of the premiere, Nada Alhelabi, General Manager of the MDLBEAST Foundation, highlighted the significance of the competition, saying, “XPERFORM is more than just a talent show. It’s a launchpad for regional artists, offering them the exposure and resources they need to succeed in a competitive industry. We’re incredibly proud to showcase such exceptional talent this season, and we look forward to seeing how these artists will grow and evolve.”

Since its inception, XPERFORM has been pivotal in highlighting rising stars from the region, with previous winners like Asayel (2022) and AJ TRUTH (2023), but also participants such as DJMUBARAK going onto further their careers.

In its third season, XPERFORM cements its reputation as the premier launchpad for MENA’s rising vocal stars. From live auditions to digital challenges, the competition gives contestants a stage to shine and the backing of MDLBEAST to turn raw talent into lasting careers.

This season, 35 hopefuls from across the MENA region were selected to audition in front of an esteemed panel of judges. The series will focus on these auditions, showcasing the raw talent and determination of the contestants as they perform live for the panel.

The XPERFORM 2024 judging panel brings together four highly respected figures from the regional and international music scenes:

            Shamma Hamdan: As the first Emirati woman to reach the finals of Arabs Got Talent, Shamma Hamdan has blazed a trail in the region’s music industry. A talented singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, she has gained widespread acclaim for her unique fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds, inspiring young musicians across the Arab world.

            Defencii: A prominent figure in the MENA rap scene, the Sudanese-Saudi rapper, composer, and songwriter has made a name for himself with his hard-hitting lyrics and powerful performances. His work has cemented him as one of the most influential voices in regional rap & hip-hop.

            Hassan Abouelrouss: Known for his versatility as an actor, singer, and comedian, the Egyptian star has built a career that spans across film, television, and music. His energetic performances and unique style have earned him recognition as one of the region’s most multi-talented entertainers.

            Rawan Alfassi: Representing MDLBEAST Records, Rawan Alfassi is passionate about discovering and nurturing new talent. Her expertise in artist development makes her an integral part of the judging panel, ensuring that contestants receive guidance that goes beyond the competition.

Competition Breakdown

Episodes 1-4 will showcase the audition phase, where contestants perform live in front of the judging panel. Each performance was evaluated based on vocal quality, stage presence, and overall impact and will need three “yes” to advance to the next stage of the competition.

Episode 5 will feature the contestants who advanced from the auditions, tasked with a social media challenge where they must create captivating one-minute videos to showcase their unique talents and connect with their audience.

Episode 6 will bring the excitement to a peak with the battle rounds at the XP Music Futures Conference, where finalists will go head-to-head to prove they deserve to advance to the Grand Finale the following day and win the title of XPERFORM 2024 champion.

The season concludes with a special  7th bonus episode, where the winner takes the stage for a once-in-a-lifetime performance at Soundstorm, Saudi Arabia’s largest music festival.

أعلنت بيرسون ، (FTSE: PSON.L)، التي تعد أحد أكبر شركات التعليم المستمر الرائدة على مستوى العالم، عن إبرام شراكة استراتيجية مع جامعة الملك سعود في المملكة العربية السعودية، تهدِف إلى تمكين الطلاب السعوديين والمقيمين داخل المملكة من خلال تزويدهم بحلول اختبارات مُتقدِّمة للغة الإنجليزية، وتمثِّل هذه الشراكة خطوة هامّة في الالتزامات التي تعهّدت بها بيرسون من أجل تعزيز الفرص التعليمية ودعم إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية في جميع أنحاء الممل

لقد اعتُمِدَ في الوقت الراهن اختبار بيرسون للغة الإنجليزية (PTE) كشرط من الشروط الرسمية للالتحاق ببرنامج “السنة التحضيرية” في جامعة الملك سعود، الذي يُعدُّ سنةً تمهيديّة مُصمَّمة لتزويد الطلاب بالمهارات الأساسية اللازمة لتحقيق النجاح الأكاديمي، ولتقديم المزيد من الدعم للطلاب، تقوم جامعة الملك سعود وبيرسون بإنشاء مركز اختبار PTE داخل الحرم الجامعي في مبنى السنة التحضيرية، حتى يتسنّى للطلاب إجراء اختبار PTE مباشرة في جامعة الملك سعود، مما ينعكس بدوره على تيسير العملية للطلاب بغرض إثبات إجادتهم للغة الإنجليزية لاستيفاء شروط القبول، ومع التحاق الآلاف من المتقدمين في كل دفعة، تواصل جامعة الملك سعود تعزيز مكانتها كمؤسسة تعليمية رائدة في المنطقة وخارجها.

وفقًا للدراسة الأخيرة التي أجرتها بيرسون بشأن السؤال التالي “كيف تُسهم اللغة الإنجليزية في تمكين الأفراد من غدٍ أفضل”، يرى 93 ٪ من السعوديين الذين أجابو عن هذا السؤال أن إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية أمرٌ بالغُ الأهمية لتعزيز الملاءة المالية  في المستقبل. فقد أظهرت الدراسة أن الأشخاص الذين يتقنون اللغة الإنجليزية غالبًا ما يحصلون على وظائف ذات رواتب أعلى، حيث أنّ الأشخاص الذين يمتلكون مهارات التواصل الفعّال بإمكانهم الحصول على ما يصل إلى 60 – 100 ٪ أكثر من أقرانهم الأقل كفاءة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، فإن 11 ٪ فقط من العيِّنة التي أجابت على السؤال المطروح من ذوي المهارات المحدودة في اللغة الإنجليزية يتقاضون أكثر من 300,000 ريال سعودي سنويًا، مقارنة بـ 42 ٪ من ذوي الكفاءة المتقدمة. وقد أظهرت البيانات وجود علاقة بين مهارات اللغة الإنجليزية والأدوار القيادية، حيث يشغل 82 ٪ من الناطقين باللغة الإنجليزية مناصب إدارية، مما يؤكد على دور اللغة في التقدم المهني والنمو  داخل القوى العاملة السعودية.

وبموجب هذا التعاون، ستكون هناك فرصة سانحة للمقيمين في المملكة العربية السعودية لإجراء اختبار بيرسون الأكاديمي للغة الإنجليزية (PTE) مباشرة في الحرم الجامعي، وهذه الخطوة تهدف إلى تيسير عملية الاختبار وإتاحة عملية وصول غير مسبوقة إلى الفرص التعليمية والمهنية العالمية، وسيستفيد الطلاب من مجموعة من موارد التعلم المجانية، بما في ذلك ثلاث ساعات من التدريب المباشر، و 11 ساعة من التدريب عبر الإنترنت، إضافة إلى مواد دراسية شاملة. كما أنّ المتقدمين لجامعة الملك سعود بإمكانهم الحصول على خصومات اختبار PTE الحصرية عن طريق الاتصال باللجنة المعنية بقبول طلاب السنة التحضيرية.

إنّ اختبار PTE الأكاديمي هو اختبار حاسوبي مُبتَكَر لإجادة اللغة الإنجليزية يعمل بالذكاء الاصطناعي قامت بيرسون بتصميمه لأولئك الذين يرغبون في الدراسة أو العمل أو الهجرة إلى الخارج. فالامتحان يعمل على تعزيز الاستفادة من تقنية التسجيل الآلي الرائدة لتقييم مهارات التحدث والاستماع والقراءة والكتابة من خلال تقييمٍ واحدٍ مدته ساعتان، مما يضمن الدقة والحيادية والإنصاف في تقييم النتائج، ونظرًا لظهور النتيجة في غضون يومين فقط، فإن المرشحين يستفيدون من ميزة إجراء اختبار إتقان اللغة الإنجليزية بسرعة وبطريقة عادلة ودقيقة للغاية.

فلقد تم اعتماد اختبار PTE الأكاديمي من قِبَل أكثر من 3500 مؤسسة تعليمية على مستوى العالم ويمكن الخضوع له عبر شبكة بيرسون الحالية التي تضم أكثر من 445 مركز اختبار PTE في 117 دولة. وقد قامت حكومات المملكة المتحدة وأستراليا وكندا ونيوزيلندا باعتماد اختبار PTE الأكاديمي لجميع طلبات التأشيرة، في حين أن الجامعات في جميع أنحاء كندا وأستراليا ونيوزيلندا وأيرلندا والمملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية تقبل اعتماده أيضًا، وهذا الأمر يُفضي إلى جعله يحظى باعتراف واعتماد على نطاق واسع لأغراض الدراسة والهجرة.
