Following the official announcement of Saudi as the host country for the FIFA World Cup™ 2034 today, Saudi, Welcome to Arabia, the official destination brand of the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), is thrilled to welcome football fans from around the globe to experience the warm hospitality and vibrant culture of the Heart of Arabia.

The FIFA World Cup™ 2034 will be the first time the 48-team tournament will be hosted by a single country. Saudi’s host cities include Riyadh, blending modern entertainment with historic treasures at Diriyah; Jeddah, showcasing the glimmering Red Sea and Al Balad, Historic Jeddah’s charm; Al Khobar, featuring serene beaches and cultural landmarks; Abha, with its lush landscapes and adventure activities; and NEOM, with its futuristic innovations. All of the host cities are set to captivate football fans with state-of-the-art stadiums, world-class amenities, vibrant fan festivals, and a diverse array of cultural experiences.

In celebration of Saudi’s successful FIFA World Cup™ 2034 bid, STA organized vibrant on-ground activities in key international locations, such as London’s Piccadilly Circus and Dubai Mall’s iconic fountain, featuring Saudi flash mobs that showcased the country’s rich culture and highlighted the destinations set to host matches. Domestically, celebrations took place in five iconic locations: Salwa Palace, Historic Jeddah, Hegra, Rijal Almaa, and Ithra, inviting the public to join in and commemorate this historic milestone. STA also launched a short film welcoming and inviting the world to experience Saudi’s warmth and wonder, embodying the joy, pride, and excitement felt nationwide.

With a passionate football fan base and a growing cadre of world-class sporting events hosted in country, Saudi is sharing its storied heritage and vibrant culture with the world. تنافس كبير بين المُلاك المحليين على الكؤوس في اليوم الـ 15 لمهرجان الملك عبدالعزيز للصقور 2024

أقيمت، اليوم، منافسات المُلاك المحليين على كؤوس الملك عبدالعزيز في اليوم الـ 15 لمهرجان الملك عبدالعزيز للصقور 2024، الذي ينظمه نادي الصقور السعودي حتى 19 ديسمبر الحالي، بمقر النادي بمَلهم (شمال مدينة الرياض)، بجوائز تتجاوز قيمتها 36 مليون ريال؛ وتصنَّف الأكبر في تاريخ جوائز منافسات المهرجان.

وتنافس 164 صقارًا من المحترفين المحليين وسط حماس كبيرة وقوة في الأداء على 12 كأسًا من كؤوس الملك عبدالعزيز خصصت لفئات (فرخ وقرناس) وهم كلٌ من جير مثلوث، وجير بيور، وحر، وشاهين، وجير شاهين، وتبع جير.

وجاءت الانطلاقة من خلال شوط جير مثلوث فرخ، حيث حقق الصقر (نوف) لفهد الدوسري المركز الأول، فيما جاء (برق) لمحمد الدعيج في المركز الثاني، وحل (ياسمين) لسلطان الشمري في المركز الثالث. وفي شوط جير مثلوث قرناس، حصد (خطير) لفهد أبو اثنين المركز الأول، فيما جاء (الذيبة) لفهد الدوسري في المركز الثاني، وحل (الأصوك) لسعود المطيري في المركز الثالث.

وفي شوط جير بيور فرخ، خطف (الأسد) لفهد المري المركز الأول، وجاء (طويق) لسعيد المطيري في المركز الثاني، فيما حل (وحيدان) لعبدالله الدوسري ثالثًا.

وفي شوط جير بيور قرناس حقق (B9) لسعد البوعينين المركز الأول، وجاء (هجاد) لصالح المطيري في المركز الثاني، و(سهيل) لراشد الدعيج في المركز الثالث.

بعدها انطلق شوط حر فرخ، حيث حقق (مشكور) لراشد آل عفيص المركز الأول، وجاء (سياف) لسيف العوني في المركز الثاني، و(الهرش) لناصر المري في المركز الثالث.

وفي شوط حر قرناس جاء (سهاج) لجابر المري في المركز الأول، و(النشمي) ليوسف الشمري في المركز الثاني، و(الدكتور) لسعيد المري في المركز الثالث.

وانطلق بعدها شوط شاهين فرخ، حيث حقق (المعراض) لمشعل الدوسري المركز الأول، وجاء (شواقة) لمحمد الشمري في المركز الثاني، وحل (شوامة) لمتعب المري ثالثًا. وفي شوط شاهين قرناس، جاء (غدرا) لهليل العنزي في المركز الأول، وحل (جمرة) لمحمد الشمري في المركز الثاني، و(نيو) لخلف المري في المركز الثالث.

وفي الشوط التاسع؛ الذي خصص لفئة جير شاهين فرخ، ظفر (فلاي وينق) لياسر المطيري بالمركز الأول، وجاء (YAS) لخالد البوعينين في المركز الثاني، و(فرانكل) لياسر المطيري في المركز الثالث. وفي فئة جير شاهين قرناس حقق (DJ) لعبدالله الخليف المركز الأول، وجاء (تايفون) لجعفر القحطاني في المركز الثاني و(كبريت) لراشد الدعيج في المركز الثالث.

وفي شوط جير تبع فرخ، حقق (طايش) لعبدالله الهدار المركز الأول، فيما جاء (283) لسعد البوعينين في المركز الثاني، وحل (T45) لعبدالله الدوسري ثالثًا. وكان ختام منافسات المُلاك المحليين من خلال شوط جير تبع قرناس، حيث حقق (الصعب) لفهد النصار المركز الأول، و(T017) لسعد البوعينين المركز الثاني، وجاء (كفو) لسلطان الشمري ثالثًا

Saudi Venture Capital Invests in a Venture Capital Fund by Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP)

Saudi Venture Capital (SVC) announced its investment in Middle East Venture Fund IV, a venture capital fund managed by Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP). The fund size is $150 million.

The fund will support technology startups with high growth potential that will have a positive long-term impact on multiple sectors of Saudi Arabia’s rapidly modernizing economy. It will support their growth and steward their maturity from the Seed stage to Series A, Series B, and IPO/Exit to create Saudi and regional technology champions.

Dr. Nabeel Koshak, CEO and Board Member at SVC, said: “Our investment in the Middle East Venture Fund IV by MEVP supports SVC’s strategy of backing funds that invest in early-stage startups based in Saudi Arabia, aiming to foster their growth into later stages.”

Walid Mansour, Co-Founder and Co-CEO at MEVP, said: “MEVP has been a pioneering venture capital institutional investor in Saudi Arabia since 2012. Over the past decade, we have deployed more than $50 million in some of Saudi’s leading technology startups, helping to create over 12,000 high-quality jobs and also attracting $1.1 billion in co-investments that have added to Saudi Arabia’s FDI. With SVC’s support, we will expand our investment footprint further in Saudi Arabia and amplify our positive economic and social impact in the Kingdom.”

SVC is an investment company established in 2018. It is a subsidiary of the SME Bank, part of the National Development Fund. SVC aims to stimulate and sustain financing for startups and SMEs from pre-Seed to pre-IPO through investment in funds and direct investment in startups and SMEs.
